Job summary

McKenney's is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across operations, reduce injuries, and drive a Zero Incident Culture. The role reports to the Corporate Safety Director and requires energetic, proactive leadership.

You will evaluate processes, manage incident-reduction projects, coordinate safety training, oversee OSHA compliance, and report metrics to senior leadership while building strong site relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of safety training experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, and DOT regulations.
• OSHA 500 minimum training credentials; additional certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate processes and incident data to design incident-reduction projects and improve safety culture.
• Track action items and report monthly injury and risk metrics to leadership.
• Develop relationships with Profit Center/Department leaders and safety staff.
• Conduct root cause analyses of injuries and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Coordinate and administer new-hire safety training programs (hoisting, ergonomics, fire prevention, PPE, electrical safety, etc).
• Plan and facilitate safety policy implementation in line with OSHA rules.
• Serve as technical safety advisor to departments and sites.
• Conduct safety and housekeeping inspections and track corrective actions.
• Assist with OSHA and Workers' Comp reporting and recordkeeping.
• Notify leadership of immediate hazards and recurring safety concerns.
• May supervise a technical assistant as directed.
