Job summary

Precision Castparts' PCC Metals Group seeks a Plant Quality Manager to lead a Zero Defects culture, driving QMS alignment with AS9100/AS13100 and managing customer interfaces during audits and visits.

You will mentor a high-performing QA team, implement metrics to improve product quality, and collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Commercial and Sales to embed quality in daily work.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related engineering.
• ASQ Certified Quality Manager preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) per AS9100 and AS13100.
• Lead and develop the QA team to foster teamwork and growth.
• Implement quality metrics to reduce defects and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Manage customer communications on quality topics and interface during site visits and audits.
• Oversee customer, external and internal audit processes and accreditation.
• Coordinate on-site resolution of quality escapes using robust problem-solving methodologies such as 8D.
