Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Quality leader to drive quality projects and coordinate audits in aerospace manufacturing. The role oversees quality systems, mentors staff, and ensures compliance with ISO-9001 and AS9100.

The ideal candidate has a science/engineering background, 5+ years in technical roles, and strong analytical and collaboration skills to work with customers and engineering teams on complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in technical or operations roles, ideally in casting and aerospace manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical resources and interact with customers, engineering and operations on complex issues.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality projects and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
• Act as the primary liaison with customers, regulatory bodies, and government agencies for audits and quality issues.
• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Manual, internal work instructions, and procedures; audit and approve subcontractors.
• Review job status, customer specifications, and recommend technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Production Control, Engineering, and customers on alloy, casting design, and tooling topics.
• Manage staff responsible for quality planning, raw material release, and final product certification.
• Oversee Level III NDT Examiner for personnel qualification, special process certifications, and audits.
• Serve as Management Representative for ISO-9001 & AS9100 compliance.
• Stay current with industry advancements through technical literature review.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to quality teams while maintaining discipline and professionalism.
