Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a YouTube Social Strategist, Marketing to own and optimize the flagship YouTube channel, guiding content, metadata and audience development. You will work with internal teams and external partners to drive growth, retention, and discovery, shaping the channel strategy and post-publish optimization.

You will analyze retention curves, CTR, and browse patterns to inform programming decisions, and leverage AI tools in YouTube Studio to speed up research and packaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in social media marketing.
• Experience cross-functionally with stakeholders and teams.
• Experience developing and executing social media strategies.
• Experience with video hosting, live streaming or social media platforms.
• Experience with YouTube, Search, or Video Advertising.

Responsibilities

• Own daily YouTube Studio channel management and optimization, including thumbnails and metadata updates.
• Develop and manage the YouTube programming calendar and publishing cadence.
• Analyze YouTube Analytics to diagnose performance drivers and guide decisions.
• Partner with internal producers to enforce data-backed greenlight gates and briefs.
• Execute back-catalog audits, packaging refreshes, and benchmarks for organic performance.
