Job description

About the Job

I’m looking for a long-term video editor for my gaming YouTube channel, JuicyJim.

I upload one long-form video per week, primarily funny multiplayer gaming videos with friends. I’m looking for someone who can become my regular editor rather than someone I’m hiring for just one video.

The reference videos I’ve attached from SMii7Y and Yumi are examples of the general editing style and pacing I’m aiming for. I don’t expect these styles to be copied exactly — I’m looking for someone who can take inspiration from them while helping develop a style that fits my own channel.

Videos will generally involve taking longer gaming sessions and turning them into entertaining, well-paced YouTube videos.

Ideal Candidate

I’m looking for someone who:

• Understands comedic timing and can recognise funny moments without needing every cut explained

• Knows when to use memes, subtitles, sound effects, zooms and other edits without over-editing

• Can keep conversations and jokes intact when they’re entertaining instead of cutting constantly just to make the video faster

• Understands modern gaming YouTube and creators such as SMii7Y and Yumi

• Is comfortable editing multiplayer footage with multiple people talking

• Can communicate reliably and meet a consistent weekly schedule

• Is interested in working with the channel long-term and developing the editing style with me

You do not need years of professional experience. If you’re a newer editor but have strong editing skills and understand this type of content, I’m happy to consider you.

Job Requirements

• Approximately 1 completed video per week

• Long-form gaming content

• Strong understanding of English and conversational humour

• Good audio balancing and general audio cleanup

• Ability to create clean, engaging edits without making every second overly edited

• Reliable communication and turnaround times

• Willing to take feedback and maintain consistency between videos

I’m looking for someone I can continue working with as the channel grows, so reliability, communication and understanding the humour are just as important to me as technical editing ability.
