Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
ZoeTube is launching a new gaming YouTube channel focused on Roblox. We seek an editor to shape scattered gameplay into cohesive 10–15 minute videos with strong storytelling and pacing. You will enhance footage with graphics and sound, matching a female-leaning visual identity.
The role is remote, freelance, 4 videos per month, with a 1–2 week turnaround and one round of revisions. Collaboration with the Senior Editor and room to grow are offered.
The biggest part of this job is storytelling.
You'll take gameplay and commentary that can sometimes be scattered and turn it into a fast-paced, cohesive 10–15 minute video. You should be able to recognize what matters, remove dead space, rearrange footage when needed, and make sure the finished video always makes sense to the viewer.
We want someone who can add to the entertainment value, not just cut footage. This includes graphics, text, animations, sound effects, music, memes, zooms, visual jokes, and anything else that makes a moment funnier, clearer, or more engaging.
The channel has a female-leaning audience and visual identity, so the graphics and overall editing style should reflect that. Please use the three attached reference videos as your primary guide for the pacing, energy, graphics, and overall feel we're looking for.
You'll work with our Senior Editor, who has been with us for several years and will handle quality control and feedback. We're looking for someone who can learn the style quickly and eventually work with minimal revisions. PROJECTS SHARED IN PREMIERE PRO.
You understand YouTube pacing, retention, comedic timing, and storytelling and have experience editing gaming, entertainment, or personality-driven content.
You're creative and comfortable making your own editing decisions. If something in the raw footage isn't completely clear or entertaining, your instinct should be to figure out how to improve it rather than simply leaving it as-is.
You communicate clearly, meet deadlines, take feedback well, and are interested in developing an ongoing working relationship rather than picking up a one-off project.
because understanding conversational commentary, humor, and context is a major part of the edit.
