Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a freelance Video Audience Development Manager to own the Lucky Dog YouTube programming strategy, optimize viewership and revenue, and automate executive-ready reporting. You will work closely with producers to translate data-backed trends into practical production improvements.

The role requires expert YouTube Studio knowledge and the ability to evangelize best practices across production, design, talent, and sales.

Qualifications

6+ years in digital video strategy, YouTube programming, audience development, or video analytics.
Demonstrated success programming or operating a major YouTube channel or network.
Advanced fluency in YouTube Studio analytics, content measurement, and experimentation frameworks.

Responsibilities

Own programming strategy for Lucky Dog YouTube channel, including content direction, scheduling, and presentation.
Automate recurring reporting and deliver insights actionable for production, design, and editorial leadership.
Partner with sponsorship sales to support YouTube monetization with Brand Partnerships and measurement best practices.
Analyze historical viewership trends to inform content optimization (topics, formats, runtimes, cadence).
Lead testing and learning across packaging, metadata, release timing, and channel presentation.
