Job summary

Hearst Media Production Group seeks a freelance Video Audience Development Manager to own YouTube strategy for Lucky Dog, analyze viewership, and drive engagement and revenue. You will partner with production, design, talent and sales, automate weekly/monthly reporting, and evangelize best practices across platforms, including social video.

The role requires expert YouTube Studio analytics, data-driven storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration with SVP Licensing and Distribution to grow

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in digital video strategy or analytics.
• Proven YouTube channel programming experience.
• Fluent in data-backed storytelling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own Lucky Dog YouTube strategy, scheduling, and presentation.
• Define KPIs, automate reports, and optimize engagement and revenue.
• Automate weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with sponsorship sales on monetization and brand partnerships.
• Analyze viewership trends to inform content optimization.
• Develop cross-platform audience growth across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snap.
• Lead testing and translate results into creative recommendations.
• Improve library performance via playlists and metadata.
• Socialize best practices across org.
• Coordinate with Content Operations on captions and publishing.
