Job summary

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco is seeking a Program Coordinator for the YAWL Young Adult Job Centers to lead program development and service delivery. This role reports to the Program Supervisor and is a full-time, non-exempt position.

You will supervise staff, coordinate GED attainment, provide career guidance, and deliver job readiness training while building partnerships with community organizations to expand opportunities for diverse youth in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with diverse youth in workforce programs.
• Experience coordinating programs and developing services.
• Ability to work with ethnically diverse groups and English learners.
• At least 1 year supervising a team of three or more staff.
• Experience serving San Francisco's diverse communities.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, Zoom.
• Experience facilitating youth workshops and programs.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in Cantonese/Mandarin/Spanish and English preferred.
• Able to work some evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to academic achievement and college education.
• Ability to lift or move at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, implementation, and improvement of the YAWL program and service model.
• Develop policy recommendations and collaborate with partners.
• Ensure alignment with Youth Program Quality Standards and Work Plan deliverables.
• Complete documentation, reports, and deliverables on time.
• Lead citywide outreach and build a robust referral network for recruitment.
• Conduct participant assessments and provide intensive case management and guidance.
• Develop vocational goals and career plans with assessments.
• Develop and facilitate job readiness workshops (resume, interviews, etc.).
• Coordinate GED attainment, basic skills remediation and education services.
• Provide 1:1 career guidance and job placement assistance with follow-ups.
• Connect participants to CYC resources and other services to remove barriers.
• Supervise and coach Program Specialists in training content and outreach.
• Collaborate with workforce team on program planning and outcomes.
• Coordinate career exploration events and mentoring opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with employers and create youth jobs.
• Support agency-wide events and perform other duties as assigned.
