Job summary

The City of Baltimore, Mayor’s Office of Employment Development (MOED) seeks a Job Developer (NCS) to build relationships with employers and place youth in private-sector jobs through the YouthWorks and Career Connections programs. This role combines outreach, marketing, and coordination to connect youth with work opportunities in a busy urban environment.

You will conduct site visits, screen employer applications, arrange interviews, and help youth prepare for success.

Qualifications

• Two years of college completed.
• Four years of sales or employment/training experience required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and hold a valid Maryland driver’s license.
• Willing to use personal vehicle for travel to partner worksites.

Responsibilities

• Market YouthWorks Private Sector programs to employers.
• Review and approve employer applications.
• Conduct site visits to partner worksites to ensure a safe environment.
• Arrange job interviews and refer youth to training or employment activities.
• Coordinate employer events (job fairs, recruitment, pre-screening workshops).
• Post and maintain current job openings.
