Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Customer Development - YouthWorks Coach to support youth ages 16–21 in workforce readiness and placement success. You will coordinate with employers and YouthWorks staff to ensure positive job experiences and effective transitions into placements.

Responsibilities include group and individual coaching, interview preparation, and on-site visits to monitor progress and ensure productive work habits. A driving license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, vocational rehabilitation, job development or related human service field.
• Two years of related vocational or job rehabilitation experience.
• Equivalency notes: an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or equivalent and eligibility to obtain a Baltimore City driver's permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual sessions to support YouthWorks Private Sector participants' job preparedness and post placement.
• Serve as liaison between the YouthWorks office and employer worksites.
• Screen youth applicants and conduct interviews for employers.
• Update databases and internal reports; track attendance and timesheets.
• Visit worksite locations to observe work habits and address barriers to success.
• Deliver youth resume prep and training sessions.
