Job summary

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) seeks a Program Coordinator for the YAWL Work Based Learning program to oversee the portfolio, supervise staff, and ensure high quality workforce development services for youth ages 16-24.

You will coordinate internships, deliver job readiness workshops, build partnerships with local businesses, and align services with Youth Program Quality Standards while meeting grant deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience working with diverse youth backgrounds, preferably within youth workforce development programs.
• Previous experience in program coordination, internship coordination, and development.
• Ability to work with ethnically diverse groups of low-income youth to support their social and emotional needs during transition.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising a team of three or more staff.
• Experience working with San Francisco's diverse communities and neighborhoods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other technology platforms.
• Experience facilitating workshops for youth and young adults.
• Ability to work as part of a team, to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
• Bilingual in Cantonese/Mandarin/Spanish and English is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for promoting academic achievement and college education.
• Able to lift or move at least 25lbs
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and improvement of the Work Link program and service delivery model.
• Develop policy and procedure recommendations to strengthen the program and partnerships.
• Ensure alignment with Youth Program Quality Standards and deliverables.
• Complete required documentation, reports, and program deliverables promptly.
• Lead outreach and recruitment, building partnerships and referral networks.
• Develop and facilitate job readiness workshops (resume, interviewing, etc.).
• Coordinate subsidized internships with local SF businesses and supports for sites.
• Conduct participant assessments and provide intensive case management and wraparound services.
• Develop vocational goals and career plans with assessments.
• Coordinate GED attainment, tutoring, and workforce training services.
• Provide 1:1 career guidance and placement assistance.
• Connect participants to resources to remove barriers and ensure success.
• Supervise and train staff in training content and outreach.
• Collaborate on program planning and outcomes with the workforce team.
• Coordinate career exploration events and mentoring opportunities.
• Support agency-wide events and other duties as assigned.
