Job summary

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco is seeking a Program Coordinator for the YAWL Work Based Learning program to oversee youth workforce development activities and staff. You will lead workshops, coordinate internships, and ensure high-quality service delivery to ages 16-24.

This full-time role reports to the Program Supervisor and requires collaboration with partners, strong administration, and a dedication to helping youth attain college, career readiness, and successful outcomes in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with diverse youth in workforce development.
• Experience coordinating programs and internships.
• Ability to work with ethnically diverse low-income youth and English learners.
• At least 1 year supervising a team of three or more staff.
• Experience with San Francisco communities and partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Work Based Learning program.
• Supervise staff, oversee workshops/trainings, and establish best practice models.
• Develop policy and procedure recommendations to strengthen the program and collaborations.
• Ensure program development aligns with quality standards and deadlines.
• Lead outreach and recruitment, cultivate partnerships, and develop a referral network.
• Coordinate subsidized internships with local businesses and support participants.
• Provide intensive case management, wraparound services, and address barriers.
• Develop vocational goals and career plans using assessments and guidance.
• Coordinate GED attainment, tutoring, and workforce training services.
• Provide 1:1 career guidance and job search/placement support and follow-ups.
• Connect participants to CYC resources and external services for success.
• Supervise, coach, and train Program Specialists in content and outreach.
