Job summary

AMIkids Clay seeks a Participant Workforce Coordinator to connect program participants with workforce development opportunities and community resources. You will build and maintain individualized plans, track progress, and collaborate with employers to place participants in meaningful roles.

You will engage with participants, employers, and partners, ensuring documentation is current and compliance is met while supporting educational and workforce goals for youth across programs.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience in workforce development or youth services.
• Experience working with youth is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with various technology applications and ability to adapt to new tech.
• Experience with a case management system such as LAURIS is a plus.
• Ability to work well both collaboratively and independently.
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Recruit individuals (participants, employers, community) for AMIkids Workforce Development Program and provide employment opportunities.
• Partner with Participant Employment Coordinator to identify employment opportunities and assist with job placements or job shadowing.
• Follow up on transitions to jobs or further education and address barriers.
• Develop Individual Service Plans (ISS/ISP) for participants based on strengths.
• Maintain participant files and ensure documentation is current per program contracts.
• Prepare attendance records, services, case notes, and activity reports.
• Utilize leadership-provided tools to ensure best practices and procedures.
• Submit reports and summarize key activities and achievements.
• Coordinate with agencies providing work-study to advance participant education.
• Monitor employment conditions and address employer concerns with preventive steps.
• Develop and maintain a diverse job bank or educational opportunities.
• Oversee volunteers related to workforce development tasks and projects.
