Job summary

New Beginnings in Cincinnati is seeking a Youth Worker to connect with young people, build relationships, and help them discover strengths, confidence, and goals. You will be a mentor, coach, and trusted support in a safe, positive environment.

This on-site role emphasizes trauma-informed strategies (TBRI), group activities, and collaborative teamwork to meet each youth’s needs. Shifts include Fri-Mon 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or Sat-Sun 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; prior experience with at-risk youth preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with at-risk youth or in residential settings.
• Background in education, social work, or psychology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful, positive relationships with youth.
• Encourage youth to reach personal, social, and educational goals.
• Plan and participate in fun group activities and community outings.
• Use trauma-informed approaches (TBRI) to support youth.
• Support youth during challenging moments and help regain control.
• Maintain a safe, structured, welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with a team to meet individual youth needs.
