Job summary

Qualifications

• Youth Work, Youth Services, and Youth Mentoring experience
• Social Work or related helping professions understanding care plans and resources
• Strong communication skills and professional documentation
• Experience with diverse youth populations and behavioral challenges beneficial
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, set boundaries, and follow policies and state regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework preferred
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays; participate in ongoing training
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background check requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervision of Youth
• Monitor youth activities and conduct hourly checks
• Model positive interactions and facilitate problem solving
• Supervision of Activities including meals and cleaning
• Oversee bedtimes and wake times per program schedule
• Supervise chores and recreational activities
• Distribute medications to youth
• Provide crisis intervention to youth and families
• Transport clients to appointments, outings, or school
• Document observations and incidents; communicate with supervisors and care teams
• Collaborate with schools and external service providers
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized living environment
• Follow program policies and procedures
• Attend staff meetings and training; participate in on-call schedule
• Cover additional shifts as needed and work with volunteers
• Manage resources prudently to extend supplies and equipment
