Job summary

Centers For New Horizons is seeking Part-Time Youth Mentors in Chicago to support a community-based mentoring program for youth aged 10-21. Mentors will build consistent 1:1 relationships, focus on personal growth, and engage in enrichment activities.

This role requires strong relationship-building skills, commitment to youth development, and involves a minimum 6-month commitment, with hours Monday through Friday from 2-6 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or young adults (ages 10‑21 preferred).
• Background in mentoring, education, social services, or community‑based programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with or connection to South Side communities strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual mentoring sessions at least 2 times per month.
• Build trusting, supportive relationships that center youth voice, choice, and interests.
• Help youth build confidence, decision‑making skills, and a sense of belonging.
