Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a van driver to transport club members to and from school under the Program Director's direction. The role requires operating a 10-passenger van on schedule and maintaining a safe driving record while supporting after-school snacks and dismissal procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), pass background checks, and be able to work Monday–Friday with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must pass FBI clearance and state background checks.
• Ability to operate a 10 passenger van.
• Flexible hours and schedule.
• Experience transporting children preferred.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate van on schedule and designated route.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
• Assist with snacks and clerical duties during dismissal.
• Maintain daily vehicle logs and tracking.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Report accidents, hazards, and policy deviations to management.
• Advise supervisor on safety and route improvements.
• Maintain van logs and required paperwork.
