Job summary

The Lead Youth Tracker position at SOUTHWEST KEY PROGRAMS INC in Conyers/Athens, GA, is a part-time role supporting the Program Director with supervision of staff and daily youth tracking activities. Responsibilities include coordinating staff training, ensuring daily contacts with youth, data entry into JTS/ETO, and responding to crises.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience working with troubled youth.
• Or substantial completion of college degree plus two years working with youth.
• Clean driving record, active driver’s license, vehicle insurance.
• Criminal background check required by Georgia DJJ.
• Drug screen required by organization.
• Strong verbal and writing skills.
• Ability to manage conflict and work in crisis situations.
• Ability to confront clients with problematic behaviors and set limits.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program staff and ensure daily contacts by Youth Trackers.
• Monitor staff trainings and assist with on-the-job training for new staff.
• Maintain communications with Program Director and Youth Trackers.
• Conduct face-to-face daily contacts with youth at various locations.
• Assist with GPS unit inventory and maintenance.
• Enter data into JTS and ETO systems promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness, security and safety of facility.
• Develop and maintain helping relationships to motivate youth accountability.
• Review youth case files and update information as needed.
• Complete discharge information and other required documentation accurately.
