Job summary

Integratedcooling is seeking a Sport Team assistant coach to guide youth through planned swim practices designed by lead coaches. You will mentor athletes as a positive role model and assist at meets with the lead coaches, helping with warm-ups and post-race feedback.

You will participate in team meetings, support skill development, and help ensure a safe, inclusive environment for swimmers of varying ages and abilities.

Qualifications

• Background in swimming or other athletics is required.
• Strong verbal communication to motivate youth athletes.
• Ability to maintain patience across skill levels and ages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with swim practices focusing on technique, endurance, and speed.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to swimmers to improve specific skills.
• Support competition prep, warm-ups, race strategy, and post-race feedback.
• Mentor youth to foster a positive, inclusive team environment.
• Develop swim mechanics for different skill levels and goals.
• Enforce safety rules and participate in safety drills.
• Coordinate communication with parents and volunteers as needed.
• Assist with scheduling, record-keeping, and other admin duties.
