Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of age or older.
• Six months or more of related experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic swimming skills.
• Comfort and enthusiasm for working in and around the water.
• Experience working with youth and diverse backgrounds.
• Pass Background and Reference checks per WA Fair Chance Act.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive environment.
• Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on day one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare class lesson plans with progression of skills.
• Instruct swimming safely per class level and YMCA guidelines.
• Complete accident and incident reports.
• Maintain attendance and progression records.
• Communicate with parents using session reports.
