Responsibilities include crafting lesson plans, delivering lessons per level, documenting progress, and communicating with parents. Flexible scheduling and access to training are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 15 or older.
• Six months or more related experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate swim skills.
• Comfort working around water and with adults.
• Experience with youth and diverse populations.
• Clear background and reference checks per WA state rules.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive environment.
• Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare class lesson plans with progression for ages and abilities.
• Instruct swimming lessons safely per class level and YMCA guidelines.
• Communicate safety rules for pool and aquatic areas.
• Attend trainings and in-water drills as scheduled.
• Maintain attendance, skill progression records, and reports.
• Engage with parents using session report cards.
