Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes.

The role offers paid training and orientation, with a variety of schedules and a comprehensive benefit package for full-time employees. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe living environment while promoting independence and empowerment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Prefer 1 year of DSP experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities - our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.

A Great Opportunity / $18.25-$19.25 per hour / Middleburg Heights, OH. At ViaQuest ICFs, our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety.
