Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Strongsville, Ohio. The role provides direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, with full training provided, no prior experience required.

Responsibilities include promoting independence, assisting with daily living, meal prep, and maintaining a safe environment; requires 18+, valid OH license, car insurance, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Various schedules available.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration certifications are offered/required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to meet ViaQuest's driving/vehicle criteria and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to increase independence and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and maintain a clean, safe living environment.

At ViaQuest ICFs, our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required!

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.

• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Personal vehicle to transport individuals is required
