ViaQuest Residential Services in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The role focuses on increasing independence, choice and safety in daily living.

The position offers paid training, orientation, benefits for full-time employees, paid time off, annual raises and flexible schedules. Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Ohio driver's license

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Prefer 1 year of DSP experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities - our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
