Legacy Treatment Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to build supportive relationships with adolescents in a residential setting. You will mentor youth, promote positive choices, and help with daily life skills in a structured environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and completion of mandated trainings such as CPR/First Aid and Crisis Management. Weekend availability is required and the organization offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS diploma with 3+ years of experience with children or adolescents.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass and maintain mandated trainings (CPR, First Aid, Crisis Management).

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and meaningful connections with adolescents.
• Mentor and encourage youth through daily challenges and promote positive decisions.
• Support community integration by accompanying youth to school, appointments, and activities.
• Teach essential life skills such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and personal responsibility.
• Use positive reinforcement and crisis de-escalation techniques to help youths succeed.
• Participate in recreational activities and serve as a positive role model.
