Job summary

The NYS Office of Children and Family Services seeks a Youth Support Assistant to help maintain facility security and oversee youth in care across ages 6-21.

Responsibilities include key control, perimeter inspections, vehicle and visitor checks for contraband, camera surveillance, and monitoring movement throughout the facility. Training in OCFS restraint techniques is required twice yearly.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in the care and programming of youth (ages 6-21).
• High school or equivalency diploma required.
• Direct-care experience with youth in related settings is preferred.
