Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus in Columbia, SC is seeking a Youth Partner in the Thompson Youth Stabilization department to engage, mentor and advocate for youth, supporting treatment plans and fostering self-advocacy. This role involves irregular hours and afternoon/evening engagements, with transportation provided reimbursement and a focus on client empowerment.

You will respond to crises, document activities, and balance administrative tasks during the day with client visits in the afternoons

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
• 1 year of relevant professional experience with the population served.
• Personal lived experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet credentialing/licensing standards.
• Drug screening and extensive background check required.

Responsibilities

• Engage and mentor youth to support treatment plans and self-advocacy.
• Provide transportation (with reimbursement) and respond to crises.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and schedule flexibility for afternoon/evening visits.

Education
