Job summary

Thompson is seeking a Youth Support Partner for the Wrap Around Charlotte program. You will educate and assist youth and families to navigate child-serving systems, promoting healthy relationships and effective coping strategies.

You will mentor 14–21 youth for up to 90 minutes weekly, in person or virtually, across school, home, and community settings in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Schedules are typically non-traditional, 9 am–5 pm, excluding weekends and on-call.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Meet credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as applicable to the department.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist youth and families to navigate child-serving systems (child welfare, education, behavioral/mental health, juvenile justice, school, primary care).
• Mentor 14–21 youth for up to 90 minutes weekly in school, home, and community settings (in person or virtual).
• Build relationships with youth and demonstrate healthy social skills and stress management.
