Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus, Inc. in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Youth Support Partner to engage and support youth on caseloads, collaborating with DCBS staff and caregivers to improve placement stability and wellbeing.

The role emphasizes mentoring, crisis intervention, and advocacy, with a focus on trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches for ages 0-18 and their families. Starting pay range is $19-$20 per hour and mileage reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience with adolescents in supportive/therapeutic roles.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass background checks.
• Lived or personal experience with DCBS, DJJ and/or healthcare preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Function as a contributing member of a case management team.
• Engage youth who are historically challenging to engage and develop rapport.
• Provide mentoring and modeling for youth assigned to your caseload.
• Provide crisis management and intervention as needed.
• Empower the youth in your caseload to find their voice and learn self-advocacy.
