East Side House (ESH) is a Bronx-based community resource providing high-quality programs through school partnerships. The Student Advisor supports attendance improvement and builds relationships with students and families to foster connection and positive outcomes.

They coordinate resources to address attendance, academics, socio-emotional health, and related needs. Reporting to the Community School Director, the advisor works with the Youth Department and school partners to create engaging

Formación

• B.A./B.S.W. degree preferred with youth-related experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage families and work with diverse communities.
• Experience in school-based settings is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support attendance improvement for the Community School Program.
• Develop relationships with students and families to provide support.
• Coordinate resources and programs addressing attendance, academics, and socio-emotional needs.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to implement individualized student plans.
• Lead or support workshops and activities to build leadership and life skills.
