Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is hiring a full-time Program Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities:

PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE SOCCER SHOTS PITTSBURGH COACHING AND OPERATIONS TEAM

• Assist with management of the Soccer Shots Pittsburgh coaching team, including full-time coaches, part-time coaches, and interns.
• Prep for seasonal launches, including work in our computer-based administrative systems.
• Contact host locations to reserve field space, confirm dates, establish make-up dates, etc. for each season.
• Help to maintain location records, details, etc.
• Assist in critically thinking about the creation of the seasonal schedule and perform data entry duties related to the seasonal program details into our online system.

COACH DEVELOPMENT

• Participate in the training, on-boarding, developing, and retaining coaches.
• Complete coach evaluations to track performance.
• Help with preparations for and be present for our in-person pre-season staff training meetings (at office).

COACHING / INSTRUCTOR ROLE

• Coach Soccer Shots sessions for children ages 2-8 at Pittsburgh-area sites, per the direction of the Soccer Shots Director of Programming.
• Coaching load typically ranges from 15-25 sessions per week, but may fluctuate outside of this range given our season cycle and staffing situation.

COMMUNICATION

• Much of our communication and interaction takes place via email, text messaging, phone calls, and online video conferencing; the Coordinator must be comfortable participating in and utilizing such forms of communication on a regular basis with very high expectations for responsiveness.

WORK HOURS / LOCATION:

• This is a full-time, exempt position totaling 40 hours per week. It is not a traditional M-F 9-5 position, and does require flexibility, with regular weeknight and weekend hours. The Coordinator will be required to work at least two evenings per week as well as one weekend day per week, with 5 total work days and 2 off days per week.
• This position will be based partially out of our office in Carnegie, PA and partially from home and will require routine, daily travel to our session locations situated throughout the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
• This position requires extensive driving in and around the Greater Pittsburgh area. The Coordinator is required to drive to multiple sites during the week and on weekends to conduct coaching assessments and provide coaching support as needed.

Compensation:

$32,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
