Job description

Avantor is seeking a dedicated and innovative Process Engineer II to optimize our Performance Materials organization. This full-time, remote role (preferably Northeast PA, OH, KY) involves developing new manufacturing processes, assessing equipment adequacy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet market demands.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and scaling up manufacturing processes from lab to commercial scale.
  • Collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal teams to develop process and equipment specifications.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, including GMP and ISO.
  • Utilizing data analysis and statistical tools to evaluate and improve process performance.
  • Managing projects related to process development, validation, and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or process engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving chemical process design and transfer.
  • Experience with process simulation software, analytical methods, and process control instruments.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Additional preferred experience includes GMP manufacturing, working with purification systems, and leading project teams.
