Scope of Position
The Center for Virtual Health promotes and facilitates the utilization of virtual health technology and supporting systems to increase access to diagnostic services and patient care. Diagnosis and patient care are provided by specialists and sub-specialists who otherwise might not be available in a timely fashion and/or require the patient or provider to travel. Services are provided to patients while they are mobile, at home, in an emergency department, in an ambulatory office or in an inpatient setting. Virtual interactions can be consultative as part of team diagnostic or treatment intervention or direct with the patient.
Position Summary
This position focuses on implementing and supporting interactive telemedicine programs that support access to expert clinical care, research studies, and clinician education in regional communities as outlined in the Outreach Strategic Plan and meet regional community needs.
Minimum Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in a health care or administrative field preferred. Graduate degree optional or an equivalent combination of education and experience in healthcare management.
4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
Evidence of progressively responsible experience in healthcare and proven ability to build consensus, listen and manage customer issues is desired.
Proven ability in health care operations, process management for complex projects, groups, and systems.

Enhances knowledge of OSUMC, The University, and region by networking both internally and externally and participating in relevant continuing education programming.
Develops and improves collaborative and listening skills through continuing education opportunities.
Maintains current Ohio clinical license.
Meets mandatory educational and health requirements.
Maintains and seeks new knowledge related to patient care issues, quality improvement and cost reduction, current policies, procedures, and protocols.
Demonstrates computer skills required to perform job functions.
