Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Youth Services Specialist to coordinate treatment services for youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will build therapeutic rapport with youth and families, develop and review comprehensive treatment plans, and provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, and at least 1 year of youth treatment experience. Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with each youth and family.
• Update families on youth progress and needs.
• Create integrated treatment plans and review with stakeholders.
• Evaluate youth responsiveness to treatment plans.
• Visit youth and families in homes to assess needs.
• Prepare educational and vocational plans for youth.
• Ensure safety, including crisis intervention and supervision.
• Attend treatment planning and staffing meetings.
• Represent the agency at hearings and with service providers.
• Provide direct services including counseling and crisis intervention.
• Maintain security and coordinate in emergencies to control situations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
