Job summary

Missouri Division of Youth Services is seeking a Youth Services Worker to provide treatment services and ensure safety for youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will facilitate group activities, maintain records, and support youth with personal issues while upholding professional boundaries.

The role involves evening/night shifts, awareness supervision, and potential interactions with medical emergencies.

Qualifications

Sixty or more earned credit hours from an accredited college or university with a minimum of six earned credit hours in Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work.
2-4 years of relevant experience.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Provide Awareness Supervision to youth, with responsibility for their personal conduct, care, and therapy.
Monitor activity, behavior, and movement of youth in residential/day treatment settings.
Maintain security and participate in restraints during emergencies or altercations.
Supervise youth during activities and inspect health and safety hazards.
Assist youth with personal issues and refer to group sessions.
Implement group and individual treatment plans.
Prepare reports on each client’s adjustment and progress; maintain youth records.
Dispense medications to youth and intervene in medical emergencies.
