Job summary

University of Oklahoma NRCYS (National Resource Center for Youth Services) seeks a Community Outreach Coordinator to advance OKSA efforts. You will deliver specialized consultation to youth and professionals, serve as a subject matter expert in engagement, transition planning, life skills education, and statewide resources, and help build housing pathways with community partners.

The role requires a positive attitude, customer service orientation, strong communication and organizational skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 12 months experience in community outreach activities or health education.
• Equivalency: 48 months of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Answer the statewide toll-free Helpline during office hours and provide excellent customer service to youth and families.
• Create and maintain procedural documents and develop best-practice tools for accurate service documentation.
• Determine eligibility of youth, submit referrals to partners, and maintain records.
• Stay current with legislation and trends in child, youth, and family services.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on program development and trauma-informed services.
• Develop housing pathways with community housing authorities and strengthen partnerships.
