Job summary

Live Oak Public Libraries is seeking a Library Assistant for Youth Services at Southwest Chatham Library. This part-time role supports patron services, assists with children's programs, and helps with circulation and information desks. The ideal candidate provides friendly customer service, can learn the PINES system, and assists with basic computer tasks. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with public libraries and basic computer skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality customer service to patrons.
• Provides information and reader advisory using print and online resources; refers questions as needed.
• Performs daily branch opening/closing procedures and circulation services.
• Assists with receiving, shelving, and organizing library materials.
• Assists with marketing library collections, services, and programs through displays.
