Job summary

State of Missouri's Division of Youth Services is seeking a Youth Services Worker to provide treatment services and ensure safety for youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will supervise youth, facilitate groups, and help implement treatment plans in a respectful, professional manner.

Responsibilities include monitoring activity, assisting with personal issues, transporting youth, and responding to emergencies; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Cooperation, professionalism, and respectful interaction with youth, families and staff.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Ability to learn crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide Awareness Supervision to youth and monitor personal conduct.
• Maintain security and assist with physical restraints during emergencies.
• Supervise activities and ensure health and safety in residential/day treatment settings.
• Assist youth with personal issues and refer to group sessions as needed.
• Implement treatment plans and prepare progress reports.
• Dispense medications and respond to medical emergencies; transport youth as required.
• Work evening, overnight, or daytime shifts and participate in mandatory meetings.
• Contribute to educational programming and perform other tasks as assigned.
