Job summary

Missouri Division of Youth Services seeks motivated Youth Services Workers to provide treatment and ensure safety for youth in day treatment and residential settings. You will support staff to deliver group activities, advocate for youth, and participate in treatment planning while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities include monitoring youth behavior, administering medications, handling emergencies, and coordinating with education programs.

Qualifications

• Empathy, nonjudgmental, cooperative and respectful approach required.
• Ability to communicate clearly, honestly and openly with youth, families and staff.
• Minimum 60+ earned college credit hours or 2-4 years relevant experience; substitutions allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide Awareness Supervision to youth and monitor conduct, care and therapy.
• Maintain security and assist in physical restraints when necessary to prevent escapes.
• Prepare reports on client adjustment and progress; maintain youth records.
• Dispense medications and respond to medical emergencies (CPR/I) as needed.
• Transport and escort youth in daily and emergency situations.
• Work shifts including evenings, nights, or days as assigned; attend mandatory meetings.
• Assist in educational program as needed.
