Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department is seeking a Recreation Program Supervisor at the Northern Regional Recreation Center. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate youth, senior and nature programs while building partnerships with community organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in park and recreation administration or related field.
• Minimum four years of experience in recreational programming and at least one year of supervisory experience.
• CPRP certification preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise recreation activities within a program, district, or center.
• Oversee summer, after-school programs, and community centers.
• Supervise a NC State licensed Senior Center and staff delivering services to seniors.
• Lead staff meetings, trainings, and staff development; evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Develop and coordinate programs, classes and events for diverse populations.
