Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Assistant to support weekend operations across the South Region parks. You'll help with event setup, facility upkeep, and guest safety, working up to 19 hours weekly.

No experience required; a high school diploma is required, plus a valid NC or SC driver's license and CPR/First Aid. Proficiency with MS Office and strong customer service are valued. Join a team dedicated to community recreation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required.
• Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License and county driving privileges; CPR/First Aid.
• General knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person customer service in a park facility and respond to inquiries from the general public.
• Ensure safety of participants/spectators.
• Enforce park rules and safety procedures.
• Assist in maintenance of facilities and recreational areas.
• Handle inquiries and complaints from public.
• Assist with special events.
• May collect fees for facility rentals.
