Job summary

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services in Cincinnati, OH seeks a compassionate Respite Provider to offer temporary relief to caregivers while supervising and engaging youth with mental health needs. You will help develop social, coping, and independent-living skills in homes, schools, or community settings, coordinating with families and treatment teams.

This is a non-exempt, part-time role with hybrid scheduling and some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel locally and transport clients using a personal vehicle.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term supervision and support for children and young adults.
• Help clients strengthen social, communication, coping, and independent-living skills.
• Plan and lead social, recreational, and educational activities.
• Serve as a consistent and encouraging role model.
• Help clients develop natural support systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support individualized goals.
• Build professional, supportive relationships with parents and guardians.
• Complete documentation within organizational timeframes.
