Job summary

PFS Family Services seeks a full-time Residential Supervisor to lead a team in a residential facility serving youth with challenging behaviors. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, and promote therapeutic practices in a collaborative environment.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 2+ years in a residential program, and completion of required certifications within the first year. A valid driver’s license and participation in on-call rotations are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of residential program experience.
• Safe Crisis Management training completed through the Agency.
• Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Certification Training.
• Must obtain Nationally Certified status within the first year.
• Valid driver’s license and pass agency underwriting standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct service staff and promote trauma-informed care.
• Oversee team caring for children in a residential setting.
• Provide guidance, support, and leadership to ensure safety and well-being of residents.
• Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide training opportunities.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
• Collaborate with case management, therapy, and education to ensure comprehensive care.
• Enforce all agency policies and procedures by staff members.
• Serve as contact for staff concerns or emergencies during shifts.
• Assist in recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff; maintain documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Collaborate with residential director to improve program operations.
• Develop procedures to promote accurate information flow.
• Promote teamwork and cultural sensitivity in daily activities.
• Follow accreditation standards and state oversight for the PRTF.
