Job summary

Elmcrest Children’s Center is seeking a Residential Shift Supervisor Cottage 3 in Syracuse, NY. The role leads daily tasks, ensures quality care for youth, and coaches staff in learned treatment strategies while maintaining safety and strong communication with campus teams.

Responsibilities include scheduling, shift coverage, incident reporting, and collaboration with medical, food services, and state entities. Requires high school diploma and residential supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college experience preferred.
• Experience working in residential youth settings is a plus.
• Must be able to implement behavioral management programs and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Uphold all OCFS/Agency policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of residential care models and supervise staff.
• Lead safety and security decisions and coordinate with campus teams.
• Prepare staff schedules and monitor shifts, PTO, and vacancies.
• Provide emergency and planned shift coverage as needed.
• Ensure incident reporting is completed and communicated to relevant parties.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation.
• Offer feedback to management on program performance.
