Elmcrest Children’s Center in Syracuse, NY seeks an Awake Overnight Youth Development Professional to ensure safety and care for residents during bedtime hours. You will perform bed checks, maintain a secure environment, and support residents’ personal development per treatment plans.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (college preferred) and involves flexible shifts, including potential overtime, with strong emphasis on crisis intervention and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college and experience preferred.
• Ability to perform crisis intervention as part of safety protocols.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Remain awake during shift and monitor residents throughout bedtime hours.
• Perform bed checks with staggered timing and verify resident safety.
• Ensure facility security by locking exterior doors and windows as applicable.
• Document bed checks in real time and follow treatment plans.
• Support residents' development and assist in transporting to school and activities.
• Complete all paperwork, attend staff meetings, and report incidents as required.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment in compliance with regulations.
