Job summary

Bend Park and Recreation District is seeking a Youth Rec Team Lead to supervise and inspire staff and volunteers in afterschool and no-school-day programs for school-age kids in Central Oregon. You will lead developmentally appropriate activities, ensure participant safety, and collaborate with schools and community partners.

Responsibilities include program planning, staffing, mentoring, and reporting, with hours 25–32 per week during school sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in youth programs or childcare preferred.
• Ability to lead staff and volunteers.
• Knowledge of safety and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth recreation programs, staff and volunteers.
• Oversee safety of participants in youth programs.
• Plan, organize and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Coordinate with school staff, community partners and custodial/office staff.
• Maintain required reports and program paperwork.
• Monitor expenditures and manage equipment and facility needs.
