Job summary

The Eugene Family YMCA is seeking a Youth Development Program Leader 1 to support after-school youth activities, childcare, homework help, enrichment, and physical activities at the Eugene, Oregon location. You will foster teamwork, social skills, and positive relationships with children and families, modeling YMCA values.

Responsibilities include following lesson plans, engaging children, maintaining a safe environment, and participating in staff trainings and family events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry with proof of enrollment.
• Meets Office of Child Care requirements for school-age care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide childcare, homework support, enrichment and physical activities.
• Teach teamwork and social skills; develop positive relationships with families.
• Follow lesson plans and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Serve as a positive role model and uphold YMCA values.
• Maintain program site, assist with setup/breakdown and cleanliness.
• Attend staff trainings, family nights and meetings.
