Job summary

Bend Park and Recreation District is seeking a Youth Rec Team Lead to guide Kid's Inc. Afterschool programs. You will supervise staff and volunteers, plan developmentally appropriate activities, and ensure participant safety.

The role involves coordinating with Bend-La Pine Schools, and supporting teachers and program staff to deliver engaging recreation and enrichment experiences for youth in Central Oregon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses in related field preferred.
• One year of experience in youth programs or supervision.
• Strong communication with staff, parents and partners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth recreation programs and participants, staff and volunteers.
• Ensure safety of participants and oversee risk management.
• Train, mentor and evaluate assigned staff; assist in hiring decisions.
• Plan and supervise developmentally appropriate activities including SEL and STEM.
• Communicate regularly with school staff, parents and community partners.
