Job summary

Eugene Family YMCA seeks a Youth Development Program Leader 2 to oversee after-school programs and lead a team of staff and volunteers. You will implement activities, manage daily operations, and ensure safety and quality aligned with YMCA values.

You will build relationships with families, coordinate staffing, and contribute to program planning, reporting, and community engagement at multiple sites in Eugene, Oregon.

Qualifications

• 60 hours of experience working in the program and 20 clock hours of training in school-age childcare (last five years).
• OR at least 240 hours of qualifying experience in a certified center in last five years.
• AA Degree in relevant field or Step 8 Oregon Registry and state requirements.
• Must meet Office of Child Care requirements and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate after-school childcare programs for assigned location(s).
• Train, develop, schedule, and direct staff and volunteers as needed.
• Ensure program operates within budget and collects fees.
• Maintain positive relationships with families and licensing agencies.
• Lead program activities and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Document records, conduct family conferences, and communicate effectively.
